by The Jim Hill Media Podcast Network

about

Grab an earful of a classic Disney theme park attraction that has been entertaining WDW visitors since December of 1973.

lyrics

Over the course of this nearly 20-minute-long recording, listeners will hear:
The clank of the lengths of chains that help make up the queue of this Adventureland favorite

The heavy use of bass flute in the score for “Pirates of the Caribbean” (George Bruns borrowed this musical conceit from the score he’d just written for Disney’s hand-drawn version of “The Jungle Book.” Which was released to theaters in October of 1967)

The various audio cues that tell you that you’re getting closer to the “Pirates” load area (i.e., the cry of seagulls, the roar of the surf, etc)

The moment when “Pirates” transitions from George Bruns’ original score for this attraction to the music that Klaus Badelt wrote for “The Curse of the Black Pearl”

How the “Bride Auction” scene has been reworked to now throw a spotlight on Redd, the first female pirate AA figure to be created for this attraction
